Born in New Zealand, Jan Honey came to Brisbane in 1980 during which time she achieved growing recognition and was invited to exhibit at Hamilton Island for the Australian Resort Awards in 1991.

With an artistic career currently spanning more than 30 years, it has been within the past 10 years that Jan’s works have been sold internationally and within Australia to various corporations. Jan has also exhibited at major exhibitions such as the Royal Queensland Art Exhibition, Trinity Art Exhibition, St Marks Art Exhibition, Merrimac Art Exhibition, Yurara Art Society exhibitions as well as several solo exhibitions.

Jan studied and attained several art diplomas at The University of Southern Queensland’s McGregor Schools with renowned artists John Davison, Jan Rabinski, Rex Baxhousesmith, Michael John Taylor, Ronald James Waters and John Rigby.

Jan’s studio is located at Redland Bay and her exhibition Observations showcases paintings portraying patterns of the Redlands environs.
