Recent work by emerging Redlands’ artists from The Donald Simpson Centre, Cleveland Gardens and U3A Art Groups

The Donald Simpson Centre, Cleveland Gardens and U3A Art Groups’ members are Redlands senior residents who range in age from 55 to 90 years. The members meet on a regular basis to pursue their interest in art.

In this exhibition more than half of the paintings are by artists who have less than two years experience – a few started painting only months ago. Without exception these emerging artists show a talent and aptitude which is exciting and rewarding.

Senior Citizens Week is 20 – 28 August 2005 and past times is a reminder that age is not a barrier, rather an asset.
