An exhibition by Lisa Iselin 22 April - 27 May 2007 Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland, Gallery 1, 5 Lisa Iselin has been painting and drawing North Stradbroke Island for the past 18 years and in more recent times was artist in residence at the Wadjemup Lighthouse on Rottness Island, Western Australia. The paintings and drawings featured in this exhibition see a reintroduction of colour to her work. The earthy tones of bitumen paint, shellac and graphite portraying rocks, sand and trees have been combined with washes of vibrant blues and turquoises to reflect these different island environments.
