Ode to Trees

The history recorded by trees is a source of fascination for Paulette Watson, who has crafted ceramic panels that feature in this exhibition. For most of the works, Paulette has extracted textures directly from trees, seedpods or decaying timber surfaces, using glazes to enhance the surface of the work. Each surface records a story or event which is the essence of this artist’s ceramic work.
