Quandamooka Land and Sea
An exhibition by the Salt Water Murris Quandamooka Art Group
28 May - 5 July 2007
Redland Art Gallery, Capalaba
The Indigenous people of Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) and the Quandamooka region have a history of living on the island dating back thousands of years. As the story tellers of today these artists have come together as the Salt Water Murris Quandamooka Art Group. Almost all of the artists are direct descendents of the original Nunukal tribe and Nughie tribe of this region. Individual and collective memories are told through this exhibition.
