Local Economy

The Redland has a diverse economy with a large number business and industry sectors represented.

Around 3,500 or 60% of businesses are small, while around 16% of the population is self-employed.

Small business and industry includes tourism, horticultural, agricultural activities, retail and small manufacturers, and service providers.

Other industries include local government, state and federal government offices and other government services such as health and education.
