Coochiemudlo Island

Close to Victoria Point on the Redland's mainland coastline, Coochiemudlo Island offers a popular lifestyle for commuters.  Coochiemudlo is 130 hectares in area and 10 minutes by water taxi, ferry or barge from Victoria Point.  Facilities include general store, ambulance, boat hire, golf course, tennis court, holiday units and restaurant.

Coochiemudlo is an aboriginal name meaning red rock or red ochre, in reference to the red cliffs on the south western side of the island.

Always a popular destination for day visitors, five times a year, the island is an even more vibrant hive of activity when the Coochie Island Craft Markets line the island’s foreshore park and the talents of the island’s many artists and craftspeople go on display.
