Getting around
Getting around the Redlands is easy. There's a range of services available to take you where you need to go.
Buses
Veolia Transport Brisbane is the area's main bus company. Timetables and route details are available from Council's Customer Service Centres or at http://www.transinfo.qld.gov.au/. For more information, ph 3245 3333.
Trains
Queensland Rail operates services between Cleveland and Brisbane on the Cleveland line.
From Brisbane, you can get to the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast by rail. Train stations in the Redlands are located at Cleveland, Ormiston, Wellington Point, Birkdale and Thorneside.

Ferries, barges and water taxi
Ferry, barge and water taxi services run between the mainland and islands.
Timetables and other information are available from the Redlands on Moreton Bay Visitor Information Centre on 1300 667 386 or from the individual operator. Island buses regularly meet ferries.
North Stradbroke Island
Passenger and vehicular ferry services are available between Toondah Harbour, Middle Street in Cleveland to Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island (Harold Walker Jetty, Junner St or One Mile Jetty, Yabby St). Operators include:
Coochiemudlo Island
Ferry services operate between Victoria Parade, Coochiemudlo Island and Victoria Point Jetty, Colburn Avenue, Victoria Point. Bookings are essential. Phone 3820 7227.

Bay Islands
To go to Karragarra, Macleay, Lamb and Russell Islands, take the ferry from the Weinam Creek Marina, Banana Street in Redland Bay.
Weinam Creek Commuter Facility
The Weinam Creek Commuter Facility provides services to people commuting to and from the Bay Islands.
The facility includes:

a marina with permanent and short-term (48 hour) moorings

two locked car compounds and
-
public facilities including a car park, jetty, boat ramp and public pontoon.
Just 400 metres away from the Weinam Creek Commuter Facility are vehicular barges and passenger ferries.
