Point Lookout
This is the place to go if you're looking for surf beaches.
White sandy beaches and
headland walks mean there's always something to do.
Whether you're into fishing, surfing, diving, sunbaking or swimming you will find the perfect spot at Point Lookout. it is easily explored by foot.
Off road driving is also a popular pastime on Straddie, but don't forget to get your permit before you go.
Main Beach,
Frenchman's Beach,
Deadman's Beach,
Home Beach and
Cylinder Beach are accessible from the main road and wraps around the headlands from south-east to north-west. The surfing competition Straddie Assault is held here annually.
Catch the breathtaking views of the South Pacific Ocean from the
North Gorge Headlands off Headland Park, Mooloomba Road. This cliff-top walk is the best place to see marine life. From June to November, you might be able to spot the humpback whales making their annual migration. Turtles, dolphins and manta-rays can be seen all year round. On a windy day, you can see and hear the Whale Rock Blowhole spouting water.

parks with BBQ facilities, picnic tables, drinking water and toilets.
