North Stradbroke Island

North Stradbroke Island, or Straddie, is one of the world's largest sand islands. Even though it's only 40 minutes away by ferry or barge, you will feel like you're in another world.

Featuring unspoilt surf beaches, clear freshwater lakes, unique wetlands and friendly locals, it's no wonder many visitors keep coming back.

There are three main communities on North Stradbroke Island - Dunwich, Amity Point and Point Lookout.

Amity Point

Point Lookout This is the place to go if you're looking for surf beaches. White sandy beaches and headland walks mean there's always something to do. From June to November you might be able to spot the humpback whales making their annual migration. More Information >>
