Access
Poor. Gravel road with room for 2-3 cars at the end of the road. Please ensure gateways to reserves and residents are not blocked.
Walk
Long, difficult network of fire vehicle access tracks, no dogs or horses allowed. Mountain bikes permitted.
What to see
Blackbutt forest, koalas, one of the best wildflower areas in the Redlands especially July – September.

Walking, bird-watching, wildflower photography, frogging and koala spotting.
Wildlife of interest
koalas, 4 species of gliding possums, Ringtail, Brushtail and Mountain Possums, Red- necked and Swamp wallabies and Lace monitors. The threatened Wallum froglet and Green-thighed frog can be heard calling during winter. This area is a bird-watchers’ haven and Wedge-tailed Eagles and Whistling Kites can be seen here.
Plants of interest
One of last remaining patches of blackbutt forest, Eucalyptus pilularis and a wide diversity of wildflowers especially Banksia spinulosa (Golden candles) and Banksia robur (Swamp banksia) with boronias, yellow pea flowers, native black-eyed susan, wattles, leptospermums, grass trees and persoonias.
