Free car parking for several cars on West Mt Cotton Rd.

Access

Via West Mt Cotton Rd. Trail enters opposite quarry over horse stile.

Walk

Medium with some steep slopes on a graded track. Horses and mountain bikes allowed.

What to see

Spotted gum and grey gum forest on steep slopes.  

What to do

Walking, bird-watching and koala spotting.

Wildlife of interest

koalas, redneck wallabies, lace monitors, forest birds such as Lewins honeyeater, white-throated honeyeater, eastern spinebills, golden and rufous whistlers, red-backed and variegated fairy wrens.

Plants of interest

A fairly sparse forest type, but attractive wildflowers such as the purple and white Westringea eremicola, yellow Pultenaea villosa and Daviesia villifera, as well as the maroon spotted hyacinth orchid flower Dipodium punctatum between June and October.
