Summit Street Reserve
Facilities
Room for a couple of cars to park on Summit Street. Please do not block service gate. Bus route 9 stops at entrance to reserve.
Access
Circular trail starts at Summit St.
Walk
Easy to moderate, graded track. Approx 1.3 km. Dogs, horses and bicycles not permitted.
What to see
Grey gum and spotted gum forest with rainforest plants along Tingalpa and Wallaby Creeks.
What to do
Walking, bird-watching and koala spotting.
Wildlife of interest
Koalas, red necked wallabies, variety of small forest birds.
Plants of interest
Large grey gums Eucalyptus major with high density of koala and possum scratchings on trunks. Purple hovea, Hovea acultifolia in flower in late winter. Yellow pea flowered shrubs, Pultenaea villosa, Pultenaea euchila and Daviesia villifera in winter and spring.
