Toilets and take away cafes near ferry.
Access
Around 6km by bitumen road from ferry. No constructed trails – best access is from sandy track on western side of Landfill Station.
Walk
Difficult, fire trails only of loose sand and reasonable slopes. Dogs, horses and bicycles are not permitted.
What to see
Blackbutt forest and scribbly gum forest with some sedge wetland. Wide diversity of beautiful wildflowers with something in flower all year. Best season is August to September.

Walking, bird-watching and wildflower photography.
Wildlife of interest
A range of small honeyeaters, whistlers and thornbills.
Plants of interest
Wide diversity of wildflowers including grass trees - Xanthorrhoea latifolia, Boronia safrolifera and Boronia rosmarinifolia, wedding bush Ricinocarpos pinifolius, dwarf brown pine Podocarpos spinulosus and a wide range of heath, pea flowers, tea trees and other wildflowers.
