Toilets and take away cafes near ferry.

Access

Ferries leave from Weinam Creek, Redland Bay. Around 3.5km by bitumen road from ferry. No constructed trails – best access is from western side on Centre road or sandy track signposted as Davidson Rd.

Walk

Difficult – no constructed trail. Dogs, horses and bicycles not permitted.

What to see

Sedge wetland, excellent wallum wildflowers with something in flower all year.

Walking, bird-watching and wildflower photography.

Wildlife of interest

Depending on flowering season a range of honeyeaters, noiy friairbirds, silvereyes, bee eaters, grey fantails on forest edges and whistling kites are often circling above.

Plants of interest

Wide diversity of wildflowers in sedge wetlands similar to Whistling Kite Wetlands but only known site in Redlands for Christmas Bells Blandfordia grandiflora in November - December. These flowers are highly endangered and strictly protected. Flowers and seeds must not be picked. Significant penalties apply.
