Art Walk

The Art Walk is a great way to view local culture. It explores the themes of community, the bay and nature.

Cleveland Art Walk features public artworks. Stroll through Cleveland town centre (Middle and Bloomfield Streets) to view sculpture, poetry and mosaics. Local art groups foster a sense of community through their contributions.

Capalaba Art Walk features works that respond to Capalaba’s history as well as its current role as one of Redland’s major centres. Take a walk through the town centre via Capalaba Place, where Redland Art Gallery Capalaba and the bus station are located, into Capalaba Regional Park and enjoy these works first hand.

These Art Walks also provide a context for students to investigate society, environment, science, the arts and technology.

Activity sheets are available for students from Years 1 to 10 for Cleveland Art Walk. Activities encourage students to reflect on the meaning of public art for the Redlands community. The Cleveland Art Walk takes about 30 minutes. To book a Cleveland Art Walk tour telephone 07 3829 8484 or email gallery@redland.qld.gov.au.
