School holiday fun

Next school holidays is 20 Sept to 5 Oct 2008

What can you do in the school holidays? Council offers fantastic activities for free or at low cost during the holiday period.

Children aged four to 16 can join our popular Holiday Activities program.

The Fun in the Parks program offers free outdoor activities and entertainment in various parks around the Redlands. Parents are encouraged to stay with their children and enjoy morning tea. The three-hour sessions encourage children to run, play and jump.

Other family activities include wildlife workshops and bushwalks organised by Council's IndigiScapes Centre. Various arts and craft, reading and storytelling activities called An Explosion of Stories are organised on the mainland and island libraries during the holiday period.

The next school holiday program will be run in September 2008. Bookings open two weeks before school holidays. Places are limited and are allocated on a 'first come first serve' basis, so book early to avoid disappointment. If you have any special needs or require individual support please tell the customer service officer when making your booking.  

Parents or carers must complete a medical information and permission form before bookings are confirmed.
