Community transport - STAR

Special Transport Assistance Redlands Inc (STAR) is the community transport provider in the Redlands. Seniors or people with a disability (or a carer of such a person) who has difficulty accessing public transport or a private vehicle could be eligible for its services.

Volunteers help run this service and it works on a shared vehicle arrangement. Bookings need to be made in advance with a minimum notification period of two working days. For more information about the range of services available or to register to use STAR services, phone 3821 6699.

EasyShopper service

EasyShopper is a weekly door-to-door escorted shopping service.

• Low floor bus with ramp
• Easy access for wheelchairs, walkers and shopping trolleys
• Pick up and drop off at home
• Escort to carry shopping on and off the bus (no large boxes, groceries are limited to 10 bags)
• Shop at either Cleveland/Capalaba (northern service) or Cleveland/Victoria Point (southern service) for approximately 2.5 hours
• Service runs Thursday (northern Redlands) and Friday (southern Redlands)
• Bookings are essential and close 12pm the day before
• Carers and children under five travel free
