Pensioner concessions

Approved pensioners are eligible for a Queensland Government subsidy and a Council rebate.

If you have moved here, you need to make an application to our Council as concessions received in other shires and cities aren't transferable.

Council's rebate

Eligible pensioners can apply for Council’s rebate against the General Rate. Council’s rebate policy is reviewed, taking into consideration the different needs of community groups.To be eligible applicants must:

• have a Pensioner Concession Card, an Entitlement Card or a Gold Card 
• be the registered owner and resident of the property for which the rebate is claimed.
