Community Development
Community development brings people together and supports them by identifying community needs and helping them work together to bring about positive change.
The Community Development team at Redland City Council works with a wide range of community organisations including young people (through the YTalk youth forum), as well as seniors, people with a disability, and those from Indigenous background and other cultures.
Specific projects may deal with issues such as alcohol and drug abuse, racism, poverty, graffiti or youth violence, as well as bringing national events such as Disability Action Week and Anti-Poverty Week to the attention of our local community.
