Local Government
Students can attend a Council meeting to gain a better understanding of local government decision making processes and the program Council meetings are required to follow. Have your local Councillor come talk to your class or grade about their role in Council or have a presenter come to your classroom to raise awareness of the activities undertaken by Council. These talks can address many youth topics including: issues for young people in the Redlands, Council's involvement in youth projects like skate parks, Ytalk - Redlands Youth Forum and the impacts of graffiti in the community.
