Waste Education

Reducing, reusing and recycling

Managing the waste generated everyday entails more than just recycling or burying it in landfills. The 2010 waste education program for schools has a range of in-school presentations and site visits. The program is designed to meet the needs of both students and teachers.

You can visit Redland Bay Transfer Station (which includes Recycleworld). If a site visit is not possible, an education officer can conduct a ‘Waste Comes to You’ presentation at your school. Programs are tailored to meet curriculum needs.

Curriculum links include Health and Physical Education, Science, Art and SOSE.
