Water
Water catchments, treatment and conservation
Issues of water use and water conservation are very important. The water treatment plants and processes for supply of water to homes and businesses within Redland City are an important part of the Queensland water infrastructure and planning for the future. Redland City Council is involved in projects for advancing waste water treatment and recycled water use.
Redland water will coordinate water treatment plant presentations on site and SEQwater will conduct tours for water treatment and Dam tours.
Topics include:
- water and wastewater collection and treatment in the Redlands
- how treatment plants operate
- water conservation strategies
- sustainable water management for the future
Topics can be tailored to suit curriculum needs. Curriculum links include Health and Physical Education, Science and SOSE.
