Youth
Residents aged 24 years and under make up around 30 per cent of the Redlands population.
We have lots of youth clubs and organisations which you can join and make new friends. The Redlands Youth Network is an active organisation where you can get together to talk about anything that involves the young people of the Redlands. If you have something to tell Council, join one of the YTalk sessions, a youth forum held regularly in Cleveland.
If you need someone to talk to, there are plenty of youth support and counselling available in the Redlands.
There is plenty of action, both indoors and outdoors, that you can find to do here. Check out our leisure and attractions.
We’ve got heaps of activities, where you can meet people and have fun - and best of all you can do them on a budget.
There’s skating and BMX riding, swimming and surfing.
Go for an adventure and explore one of our many parks and reserves. You can go hiking and horseriding and finish up with a picnic or barbie.
Or why not get down to your local bowls club? It's cheap and fun.
Not an outdoors kind of person?
Go see a movie at Capalaba Park any day of the week.
Our libraries aren't just about books and study - there's some cool stuff there too. Head to the Capalaba library to play our free play station or read the latest edition of your favourite mag in a comfy couch at either Capalaba or Cleveland. You can also surf the web from our libraries as well.
And don't forget - if you know of an event for youth coming up, contact us so we can add it to our what's on calendar!
