Mater Private Hospital - Redland
The Mater Private Hospital - Redland, is adjacent to the public hospital in Weippin Street, Cleveland. The $20 million, 6-bed facility opened in September 2000.
Its opening means when local privately-insured residents need hospital attention they can be cared for in their own community, close to family and friends, rather than travelling 30 kilometers to Brisbane.
Patients and their doctors are assured full back up from the South Brisbane Mater Hospitals.

The five-level, main hospital building incorporates patients wards, two operating theatres, kitchens and utility and reception area, the building was constructed with future expansion in mind. A covered walkway for patient transport joins the Mater Private Hospital to Redland Hospital's emergency centre.
