A short walk from Cleveland train station or bus-stop. Free street parking for buses and cars on Queen St, Shore St and Haggup St.

What to see
Nesting and roosting site for large colonies of wetland birds and forest birds. Flying fox colony on Queen St. Spectacular view at dusk from all vantage points when up to 100,000 flying fox disperse throughout the Redlands (including the threatened Grey-headed Flying Fox, Black Flying Fox and seasonally, the Little Red Flying Fox). From 4pm until just before sunset, enjoy the sight of many different species of birds coming into roost from Shore Street side. The dusk fly-over often includes flocks of magpie geese, cormorants and other birds.

Wildlife of interest
Grey-headed Flying Fox, Black Flying Fox, insectivorous bats, koalas, magpie geese, spoonbills, egrets, cormorants, White-breasted Wood Swallows, Scarlet Honeyeaters, Carpet Pythons and frogs.
Plants of interest
One of the last patches of the broad-leafed paperbark Melaleuca quinquenervia, magnificent old Queensland blue gums Eucalyptus tereticornis on edges of the wetland. Both of these trees are key habitat trees for Redlands’ wildlife.
